Research interests:
1. Electrochemical (bio)sensors and rapid detection methods
Exploitating new nanosensing materials, developing miniaturized portable electrochemical sensors and biosensors (enzyme sensors, genosensors, nuclear receptor sensors, immunosensors, etc.), wearable devices, chip electrodes, flexible devices and supporting methods for the rapid detection and toxic effect evaluation of important targets in environmental protection, food safety, and Life and health fields.
2. Chromatography-mass spectrometry & Trace analysis
For the detection and identification of trace substances in complex samples, developing highly sensitive targeted analysis methods based on modern chromatography-mass spectrometry and high-resolution non-targeted precision screening methods, as well as effect-directed analysis methods, analytical and separation materials and methods. Study the migration, transformation, bioaccumulation, toxic effects and health risks of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and emerging contaminants.
Prof. Dr. Xianbo Lu’s current research interests focus on rapid detection technology such as sensors, biosensors and analytical nanomaterials for rapid screening and detection of important targets, environmental mass spectrometry for trace analysis, etc. Prof. Lu has published more than 70 peer-reviewed papers and holds 20 invention patents. He also participated in the fabrication of many kinds of monitoring equipment. Prof. Lu has received several awards, including First Prize of the China Analytical and Testing Association Science and Technology Award (CAIA) in 2022, Science and Technology Progress Award from the Government of Liaoning province in 2016, the First prize of Natural Science from the Ministry of Education in 2013, Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award from the National Environmental Protection Administration in 2014, Lu Jiaxi Young Talent Award from the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) in 2013, etc. https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Xb_Lu/publications
