The 22nd International Symposium on Glycoconjugates (“GLYCO 22”; June 23– 28, 2013) is going to be held at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. This series of conferences, now held under the auspices of the International Glycoconjugate Organisation (IGO), was initiated in 1964 by the late Roger JEANLOZ; starting with Glyco 2 (1973), they are held biannual, with a geographical distribution that brought this Symposium to all corners of the world. IGO is constituted of National Representatives, Past Presidents and co-opted Members. In the year 2013, the countries with IGO membership have increased to 30.

A new session of this year‘s 22nd Symposium is Glycoproteomics（糖蛋白组学）. We have two workshops titled ―Current and future glycan-related databases and informatics（聚糖数据库和信息学）and ―Proteoglycans（蛋白聚糖）.
